Founded in 1983 by Dr. Steven D. Messerschmidt, DC, FACO, and Lisa K. Messerschmidt, Aurora Chiropractic Center has been dedicated to providing exceptional chiropractic care to the Juneau community for over four decades. Our practice focuses on Chiropractic Orthopedics and Nutritional Therapy, offering patients a comprehensive approach to pain relief, healing, and long-term wellness.

Dr. Messerschmidt and Lisa are lifelong Juneau residents, deeply rooted in the community. Their family history in Juneau dates back to the late 1800s, a legacy proudly showcased through historic photographs on display throughout the clinic.

The Messerschmidt family is committed to both the profession and the community. Their eldest daughter, Stefanie, is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, and their youngest, Jillian, a graduate of the Oregon Culinary Institute, now works alongside Dr. Messerschmidt in the practice.

Outside the office, the family enjoys Alaska’s great outdoors—boating, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and spending time with their dogs. Dr. Messerschmidt is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association and the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists, upholding the highest standards of professional practice.
